Reading this was like visiting a good friend. It was nice to come back to and I looked forward to reading a few chapters every night. Not a super page-turner, but the humor was quite good, the characters interesting and the plot sound. I laughed quite a bit while reading it. A nice take on Arthur's Camelot with quite a few twists throughout, and well orchestrated shenanigans. The various Ladies of the Lakes (and ponds, etc.) added quite a bit to the humor, along with all the other twisty tidbits of medieval cultural strangeness. I liked it. You should also pick up Gods Behaving Badly if you enjoy this one.

Good, but not as good as Gods Behaving Badly.
A great light-hearted read. Bought it on impulse because I liked the plot description and wasn't disappointed. Good fun and delightfully irreverent!
Decent light summer reading. Traces of Monty Python and The Princess Bride. Clever concept but the plot seemed a little too contrived in places. Some jokes were brilliant others fell totally flat.
Two pages in and I was hooked. Reminds me of a Monty Python type story and humor. Very original, I love Marie Phillips!
This book was purchased as a christmas gift the person i gave it to Loves books about the knights of the round table, therefore she loves this book.
Tongue in cheek retelling of the days of old when knights were bold. Superb writing and a laugh a minute.
I wish Marie Phillips had more books available. Her writing is one of a kind.
